“In my early professional years I was asking the question, How can I treat, or cure, or change this person? Now I would phrase the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?”- Carl Rogers
In therapy, it is important for me to create a safe environment for my clients, free from judgment and criticism. I take the therapeutic relationship very seriously and strive to build trust with whoever I am working with. I want people to know that I am just as human as they are.
I want this to be a place where your experiences, emotions, and healing take center stage. Some of the therapeutic techniques and modalities I incorporate include a client-centered and psychoanalytic approach, solution-focused therapy, and a narrative-based framework. Particularly when working with clients who have experienced trauma, I provide psychoeducation on somatic responses, emphasizing the importance of incorporating the body in the healing of the mind.
I am passionate about connecting with people on a human level and helping them navigate life’s challenges. One of the reasons I love my job so much is because I can relate to people about the human experience, something we all go through. I find immense joy in helping individuals understand that they are not alone and that many great things can emerge from their darkest moments.
As we work together, I’m here to remind you of your strength, resilience, and capacity for positive change. Let’s take those challenging moments and transform them into opportunities for growth and transformation.
“Beyond the therapy room: I am a mom to two rambunctious toddlers! I enjoy being a mother and spending my time with them and my family.”
