Melissa Gizzi, MA, LAC, RYT - Bergen County Therapist

I am a Licensed Therapist, a Licensed School Counselor, a Registered Yoga Teacher, and a Reiki Master Practitioner. I specialize in the treatment of young adults and college students experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, narcissistic abuse and other personal life challenges. I focus on providing support and creating a warm, non-judgmental, and safe therapeutic environment as the foundation for my client’s therapy. My approach to treatment is integrative and combines many elements of cognitive behavioral, humanistic approaches, acceptance and commitment, and other mindfulness-based interventions.

I work collaboratively with each client to understand how current thoughts, behaviors, and feelings are impacted by past experiences and I incorporate highly personalized complementary modalities and evidence-based techniques to help each client feel empowered to effectively address the challenges they face.

Through the therapeutic process, I believe that everyone is able to move towards healing. I look forward to helping you through this journey!
