There can be a lot on our plate that makes us feel stressed, sometimes even finding a therapist feels overwhelming! I work with adults who have difficulty managing those overwhelming emotions, as well as those who have difficulty coping with anxiety, depression, and communicating with others. I have experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community.
I recognize that opening up to a new person can be a challenge. I aim to build a trusting relationship where people feel comfortable and understood by providing an easy-going and safe counseling environment.
I am a strengths-based therapist and I believe in empowering the people I work with to create positive change in their lives.“Positive change” is different for everyone, so I use a variety of cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and stress managementtechniques to create a unique set of tools for each person. My goal as a therapist is for my clients to feel that the skills we have worked on together can help them walk an easier path outside of our sessions.
