I entered the world of counseling after a career in education, having spent time as a teacher, a consultant, and also a middle school principal. It was in working with adolescents that I discovered my true passion of helping my students learn to cope with life’s challenges. Ultimately, I decided to go back to school in order to become a therapist.

I believe in customizing my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. This flexibility allows me to adapt and tailor my methods to best suit each client. I am particularly attracted to person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, existential approaches to therapy, as well as valuing EMDR for its ability to help those with trauma and depression.

I find connecting with my clients to be of the utmost importance. I truly enjoy getting to know all kinds of people and having been involved with a variety of challenges faced by both students and adults, I come with a wealth of experience and understanding. I love to laugh, and truly believe that laughter is medicine, and I also believe in the importance of providing a comfortable and safe environment for my clients.

My areas of therapeutic interest encompass adolescents, adults, individuals coping with a cancer diagnosis, adoptees, and group therapy. Beyond my practice, I am a mother to a remarkable teenage son whom I adopted from China at the age of six. His resilience in the face of adversity serves as a constant inspiration in my work.

I started visiting the wellness group a few years ago when I was really at a low point. Looking back, I didn’t even know who I was! Over the years, the girls here have helped me find a way to not only figure out what was holding me back, but how to really just wake up with the confidence I never thought possible. Please take my words and hear me out, this is THE place !!! The fact that I never had to feel alone on my path to where I needed to be, was more than I could ask for 🙂

I highly recommend this group to anyone. Taylor is an amazing therapist, she is patient, supportive and a great listener. She has changed my outlook on life for the better!

My therapist is absolutely amazing. They’re the best therapist I’ve ever had and they always listen to what i have to say and have helpful coping mechanisms for me to try, many of which have improved my mental health tremendously. I couldn’t ask for a better therapist.

Dr. Politis helped my oldest daughter during a difficult divorce and I could not be more grateful. She truly cares and relates to adolescents and young adults. Her office staff were communicative with scheduling and insurance which was very helpful. She is one of the only therapy offices that accepts insurance and handles it for you. In the past I always had to submit myself. The other therapists that work there are great too-very warm and well trained.
